Tracy taught fourth grade for several years in Washington state. When she moved to Boston for family reasons, she began working with pre-service teachers and their experienced mentors in a wide variety of K--8 classrooms. She now lives in Portland, Maine, where Tracy divides her time between coaching in classrooms and editing math and science professional development books. Tracy's book, Becoming the Math Teacher You Wish You'd Had: Ideas and Strategies from Vibrant Classrooms, will be published later this year by Stenhouse Publishers.
