Steve Leinwand is a Principal Research Analyst at the American Institutes for Research where he contributes to a program of mathematics education research, mathematics assessment and school turn-around. Prior to joining AIR in 2002, Steve serves for 22 years at State Mathematics Supervisor for Connecticut. He has served as President of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics and as a member of Board of Directors of NCTM. He is also the author of numerous textbooks and articles including the best-selling "Accessible Math" published by Heinemann in 2008.
